Reseña – Review: Sintax “Nano 3000”

Sintax es un grupo Israeli de trash/groove metal que nos trae su cuarto trabajo a través de Sliptrick Records y que sale a la venta el 2 de Febrero. El álbum que se titula “Nano 3000” nos cuenta la historia de como las tecnologías se revelan contra nosotros y como se genera una profesa basada en el anarquismo, filosofía, guerra, se o y mas; de ahí tenemos esa portada futurista donde se ve un híbrido de perro y robot rodeado de un mundo que podía salir perfectamente de la película “yo, Robot”. Musicalmente el grupo recuerda a grupos como Sepultura, Pantera, Machine Head o nuestros paisanos Ángelus Apátrida. 

Desgranando el disco comienza por el tema “Skeleton Scale” donde comienza con una intro de batería y riff de guitarras, para después de una pausa, iniciar un tema pesado y contundente con un solo de guitarra muy a lo Machine Head. “Reefers Sting And Honey” es un tema trash rápido. “Most Hated Man In The Universe” nos trae un tema donde intercambian Trash con Groove de forma magistral, buen juego de guitarras en las partes melódicas, muy buen tema. La siguiente “Sight Got Past” otro tema con guitarras mas contundentes y pesadas, ritmos machacones, alternando riff rapidísimo, punteo muy limpio en la parte melódica. En “Nano 3000” tenemos una intro con esa guitarra distorsionada para dar lugar a un riff contundente volviendo a alternar ritmos groove con ritmos trash, buenos coros con sonido de campanas de fondo. En “Shooting Stars” tenemos una intro de bajo que da paso a un tema Groove que en las patés melódicas realizan un ritmo que me recuerda mucho al punk rock americano. “Letal And Armed” se inicia con las guitarras imitando sonido de gaitas para dar el pistoletazo a un tema trash que va a toda pastilla alternando con partes más melódicas con puntos muy limpios. “Lunchtime Funeral” hace honor a su nombre con guitarras pesadas alternando riffs rápidos y algo tetricos, tema que podía formar parte del “Burn my eyes” de Machine.

En definitiva, este álbum lo podía haber firmado Robb Flynn en su primera época, rezuma Machine Head por todos los poros, buen trabajo de toda la banda a nivel vocal e Instrumental; si es verdad que si buscamos algo novedoso, no lo vamos a encontrar. Da gusto ver que en el viejo continente sigue habiendo más grupos que practican este género, buen disco.

Sintax is an Israeli trash / groove metal group that brings us their fourth album through Sliptrick Records and is released on February 2nd. The album entitled “Nano 3000” tells us the story of how technologies are revealed against us and how a profession based on anarchism, philosophy, war, se o and more is generated; hence we have that futuristic cover where you see a hybrid of a dog and a robot surrounded by a world that could perfectly come out of the movie “I, Robot”. Musically the group recalls groups like Sepultura, Pantera, Machine Head or our fellow countrymen Angelus Apatrida.

Shelling the album begins with the song “Skeleton Scale” where it begins with a drum intro and guitar riff, and after a pause, a heavy and forceful song begins with a guitar solo very much like Machine Head. “Reefers Sting And Honey” is a fast trash track. “Most Hated Man In The Universe” brings us a song where they exchange Trash with Groove in a masterful way, a good guitar game in the melodic parts, a very good song. The following “Sight Got Past” another song with more forceful and heavy guitars, pounding rhythms, alternating very fast riffs, very clean picking in the melodic part. In “Nano 3000” we have an intro with that distorted guitar to give rise to a forceful riff, alternating groove rhythms with trash rhythms, good choruses with the sound of bells in the background. In “Shooting Stars” we have a bass intro that leads to a Groove song that performs a rhythm on the melodic patés that reminds me a lot of American punk rock. “Letal And Armed” begins with the guitars imitating the sound of bagpipes to kick off a trash song that goes full throttle alternating with more melodic parts with very clean points. “Lunchtime Funeral” lives up to its name with heavy guitars alternating fast and somewhat tetric riffs, a song that could be part of Machine’s “Burn my eyes”.

In short, this album could have been signed by Robb Flynn in its early days, Machine Head oozes from every pore, good work from the entire band on a vocal and instrumental level; If it is true that if we look for something new, we will not find it. It’s nice to see that in the old continent there are still more groups that practice this genre, good album
